Personnel planning at Borussia Dortmund is progressing. Now BVB has tied a player to itself who was only loaned.
Happy customer for the fans of Borussia Dortmund: Daniel Svensson is preserved for the club. The left -back, borrowed from the Danish club FC Nordsjælland since the beginning of the year, signed a contract with BVB until 2029. The Bundesliga club announced this on Wednesday.
The “black and yellow” pulled the purchase option for Svensson. According to Sky, this should be between 5.5 and 6 million euros. The 23-year-old Swedish international has played 15 competitive games since his arrival in Dortmund. He scored a hit, he presented two more.
Over his first months in Dortmund, Svensson said: “I was very well received here and was able to integrate myself into the team quickly.” Now he is happy to continue playing for BVB. “It is a big club with great fans. My goal is that we can celebrate success together. I will work hard every day,” said Svensson.
BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl was also pleased with the signature. He praised Svensson, emphasized that he had met the club’s expectations from the start. “He arrived quickly and enriched our team directly with its achievements,” said the ex-captain of the Dortmund. Kehl was impressed by Svenson’s intensity and flexibility that would fit well into the BVB game. “On top of that, Daniel is also a good guy and an exemplary professional. It was therefore logical for us that we are now binding him to Borussia Dortmund,” said the 45-year-old.
