Leila’s four brothers are a burdenbut his choice to take care of them and their two elderly parents seems inevitable.
When the woman proposes to buy a shop in a shopping center with everyone’s savings to guarantee them a future, the plan collides with the patriarch’s desire for recognition, who is close to being named godfather by the community and therefore ready to invest all his family assets in an expensive wedding present.
The moral dilemma raised exposes the many contradictions of Iranian society, the role of the female pillar of the family, the clash between generations, the weight of tradition. Tearful ending.
