Leicester City lower price for Tielemans: Manchester United, FC Barcelona & Juventus on

Interest from Man Utd, Barça & Juve

Youri Tielemans (24) is the world’s most valuable midfielder with a market value of €55m due to expire in 2023 and Leicester City’s chances of an extension are slim. “I want to keep as many options open as possible,” Tielemans told Sky Sports last September – nothing has changed to this day.

According to “Het Laatste Nieuws“ Manchester United, FC Barcelona and Juventus Turin are among the interested parties. Leicester, who transferred €45m for Tielemans to AS Monaco in 2019, are willing to let their second most valuable player go for an offer in excess of €40m – the pain threshold was previously €70m. Reported of this sum “Het Nieuwsblad“, who is sure that the Anderlecht homegrown wants to switch to a top club. The next step up the career ladder would see the Belgian become the sixth central midfielder to be handed over €100m next summer.

While Barça and Juve, who were very active in the winter transfer window, are currently facing financial hurdles, the “Red Devils” can draw on plenty in the summer. There may be a need in central midfield: the expiring contract of Paul Pogba (28), the uncertain future of loaned Donny van de Beek (24, Everton) and the forthcoming permanent transfer of loanee Andreas Pereira (26) to Flamengo could ensure that the successor to interim coach Ralf Rangnick wants to improve in the midfield.

Leicester, in 12th place this season, are falling short of their own expectations and will find it hard to afford to enter the final year of his contract with a Tielemans willing to leave. “He’s a smart boy, he knows he wasn’t at the level I’d like to see him at. But I know he will do well between now and the end of the season,” coach Brendan Rodgers said.Leicester Mercury‘ about Tielemans.

Leicester make De Ketelaere Belgium’s new record signing?

The potential Tielemans transfer could see Leicester reinvest in the next Belgian with Charles De Ketelaere (20) on the Foxes list according to Het Laatste Nieuws. Training club FC Brugge is said to be demanding 40 million euros for the offensive all-rounder, which would make it by far the most expensive transfer in the history of the Jupiler Pro League.
