Leicester City have strengthened their squad with defender Harry Souttar from Stoke City just before the end of the winter transfer window. The 24-year-old Australian, who represented his country at the World Cup in Qatar, has been given a contract with the Foxes until June 2028 possible.
“I’m delighted to be playing for such a great football club and the challenge of the Premier League is an opportunity I can’t refuse,” said Souttar. Leicester City previously signed Victor Kristiansen for €14m. Losing Souttar is Stoke City’s second most expensive exit. Only once before had the club conceded more from a game sale: when Marko Arnautovic left for West Ham United in the summer of 2017.
