Legend | Martina Navratilova watches Wimbledon from Corona quarantine

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova was also infected with the corona virus at the classic lawn in Wimbledon and is currently following the events from quarantine.

“I don’t feel any worse than yesterday, so I guess that’s good. I’m happy to watch tennis on TV,” tweeted the 65-year-old, 18-time Grand Slam tournament winner. Navratilova had been working as a TV expert for the British BBC two days earlier, but was absent the following day from the Center Court’s 100th anniversary celebrations with many ex-champions.

In Wimbledon, the former finalists Matteo Berrettini from Italy and Marin Cilic from Croatia tested positive for the corona virus, both of which could not play their first round games. For this reason, the Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut had to withdraw before his second round match. There are no corona restrictions at the classic lawn and, for example, there is no obligation for spectators, players and employees to wear a mask or to carry out self-tests.
