In Dortmund, the trial against five young men has begun, to whom a series of brutal raids are accused – one of the accused is Nick Reinhardt.

According to the public prosecutor, the accused are said to have created false profiles via a dating platform and some of them pretended to be young women. The men, which were curved into the trap, were then attacked, beaten and robbed at the meeting point by the accused in a changing line -up. In some cases, the attacks are said to have been filmed.

The group is now on trial for eight acts, in seven cases the 20-year-old Nick Reinhardt is said to have been involved. The allegations range from dangerous bodily harm to severe robbery to attempted murder.

An attack in June 2023 weighed particularly hard: According to the indictment, a co -accused hit the head of a victim with a hammer. The man suffered serious skull injuries and had to be operated on – only in this way could his life be saved.

The alleged perpetrators come from different life situations: one is said to have previously worked as a commissioner candidate, another played in the Oberliga. According to his surroundings, Nick Reinhardt is said to have grown up.

Knut Reinhardt, who won two German championships and the Champions League with Borussia Dortmund, already commented on his son in March. At that time he emphasized that he didn’t think he was missing something to his son. At the start of the trial, the former professional was not in the courtroom.

The procedure continues on a further nine trial days. The defendants have announced that they will comment on the allegations in about two weeks.
