The time as a stock corporation is over for the Haibach-based clothing retailer Adler Modemärkte: The company has changed its legal form and is now a GmbH again, the textile supplier announced on Friday.

Since the takeover by the conglomerate Zeitfracht last year, shares in the company had not been traded on the stock exchange anyway. The new legal form also offers a number of advantages: “Since, for example, annual financial statements and similar tasks in finance are much simpler and less complex in the GmbH structure, the conversion contributes to streamlining the company and simplifying internal processes,” says a statement .

“We have been back on a very stable course for a few months and can now also deal with long-term further developments. The corporate transformation is a logical step in the right direction,” explained Karsten Odemann, spokesman for the management. “Nothing will change for the employees of our company.” At the same time, the return to the status of a GmbH also has symbolic value: “Our company had its golden years in this legal form,” emphasized Odemann.
