Leeds United: Rasmus crisis before moving to AS Roma – interest as early as 2022

Ex-Salzburger

Only last summer Rasmus Kristensen switched from Red Bull Salzburg to Leeds United in the Premier League, only twelve months later the right-back is likely to leave the “Whites” again. According to the Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio the Dane is about to move to AS Roma.

The negotiations between the clubs about a loan for the coming season are at an advanced stage, and an agreement has already been reached with the player. After relegation with the “Whites”, with whom he is still under contract until 2027, Kristensen wants to continue playing at the top level and has expressed his desire to change with a view to the EM 2024.

Mourinho is considered a big fan of Kristensen and is said to have tried to lure him to the Italian capital last summer. However, the then Salzburg player opted for the Premier League and Roma instead strengthened with Zeki Celik (26), who did not always convince in his first season and temporarily lost his regular place. With Evan Ndicka (23; Eintracht Frankfurt) and Houssem Aouar (25; Olympique Lyon) the Serie A club has already signed two top-class free transfers for the coming season.
