Lee Fields – four concert dates in Germany

The US soul musician Lee Fields will be performing again in Germany in 2023. As part of an extensive European tour, Fields will be coming to Leverkusen on November 6th for the “Jazztage”, on November 8th to the Colos-Saal in Aschaffenburg, to the Music Hall in Worpswede on November 9th and to the Tollhaus in Karlsruhe on November 12th .

Fields released his first new album in three years, Sentimental Fool, in October 2022. The record followed his 2019 album It Rains Love, which the 72-year-old recorded with his band The Expressions. Produced by Daptone Records founder Bosco Mann, the LP comprises a total of 12 tracks.

Lee found his musical origins in 1967 in New York City, then highly inspired by James Brown’s appearance on The TAMI Show. In the decades that followed, the musician earned a reputation as the “king of funk”. One of his classics is called “Let’s Talk It Over” from 1973.
