BEIRUT/TEL AVIV (dpa-AFX) – Bei erneuten israelischen Angriffen im Libanon sind nach dortigen Angaben mindestens drei Menschen getötet worden. In a town southeast of Nabatiya in the south, two people were killed in an Israeli drone attack, the state agency NNA reported. There was another fatality in another drone attack in the south. Von Israels Armee gab es dazu zunächst keine Angaben.
The Israeli army said on Wednesday evening that it had intercepted several rockets fired at Israeli troops in Lebanon. Die israelische Luftwaffe habe die Abschussrampe daraufhin zerstört.
According to official figures, around 3,900 people have been killed and 11,800 others injured in the war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon since the beginning of March. The USA and Iran – Hezbollah’s main supporter – have actually agreed on a framework agreement to end the Iran war, which should also include Lebanon. Israeli attacks in Lebanon appear to have decreased somewhat since then, but continued until recently – as did the shelling by Hezbollah.
