League Cup: Liverpool FC after drama in the semifinals

The English top club Liverpool FC have moved into the semi-finals of the League Cup after a chase and a penalty thriller.

Team manager Jürgen Klopp’s team won in the round of the last eight against Leicester City 5-4 on penalties, after 90 minutes it was 3-3, at break it was 1-3. Chelsea FC with coach Thomas Tuchel prevailed 2-0 (0-0) at Brentford FC.

Diogo Jota converted the decisive penalty for Liverpool, while substitute goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher saved two shots. Previously, Takumi Minamino had equalized for the Klopp-Elf in the fifth minute of stoppage time, the other goals were scored by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (33rd) and Jota (68th). Jamie Vardy (9th / 13th) and James Maddison (33rd) were successful for Leicester.

Chelsea FC wins without Werner and Havertz
