The words of the Biancoceleste footballer, who spoke to the official Serie A microphones, regarding his injuries and his goals

Nuno Tavaresfull-back of Laziowas told to the official microphones of the Serie A. Below are his statements: “I am Cape Verdean, but I was born in Portugal to Cape Verdean parents. I always loved football as a child and I don’t think I’ve changed much since then. The love for this sport comes from street football and that’s how it all started. First I started playing football and then music came. I went to boarding school which made it easy to train in the afternoon.

I didn’t train every day, I would say three times a week. But it was easy to keep the two things hand in hand. My music teachers allowed me to practice and didn’t ask me to think only about the cello. My passion for music is as great as my passion for football. I loved playing the cello and it was hard to stop. I feel like playing is always part of me, music is everywhere and it’s as if I’ve never stopped. Maybe I’m not the same Nuno we saw last season as an offensive projection. But now we play a more tactical game, with more breaks because we are more attentive on a tactical level. But it’s a way of growing as a team and we’re playing good football. My goal is always to improve, but I don’t want to say a precise number of assists. I want to do a lot of them.

Sarri? It’s always a positive thing to play for a manager who has won many titles with different clubs. I always want to work with the best and I’m happy to work with him. I want a season of growth, with greater consistency in terms of results. I hope to achieve our goals and that the Lazio fans are happy with our work. Injuries? I know my body, but sometimes you can’t make certain choices alone. I listen to my body carefully, I know what I can do and when I can’t perform. The problem is that sometimes not all people involved in the choices think the same way. But the most important thing for me is to read what my body says. I know when I have to stop“.
