At a stab incident on Stationsstraat in Assen, someone was injured this afternoon. A lawyer who returned from his lunch discovered the bleeding victim in his office.
“That was a shock,” lawyer Harry Post looks back. “I had just had lunch, my office was locked. But the victim probably arrived through an open door at the rear.”
Post suspects that the man has fled from his home after a mistreatment or stab incident. “He felt unsafe. There is a home care organization in the building here and people have reassured him and called him 112. Then police officers and ambulance staff took over him.”
The victim was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Agents have closed the area. The reason for the violence is not known. No suspect has been arrested yet. The police are investigating.
