If the company does not meet these requirements, users will be informed that the resource is violating the law and will be prohibited from placing advertisements on its base, as well as advertising itself. It will also be banned from being reflected in search results, and the work of the portal will be slowed down. In addition, the resource can be completely blocked.

As explained in Roskomnadzor, the law will affect 13 companies, as well as the resources that they own. These are Google, Apple, Meta (Facebook), Viber, Twitter, Zoom and others.

Explaining this decision, the first deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko, indicated that “landing” is necessary, since the Russian legal entities of these companies are not responsible for the actions of their parent organizations that violate the law. To fully work with the authorities, they did not have the required powers, he noted.
