Lauv interviewed about future emo songs, drugs and his new album ALL 4 NOTHING

After the playlist I MET YOU WHEN I WAS 18 and his debut album HOW I’M FEELING, Lauv presents his third work this year, ALL 4 NOTHING.

Multi-platinum pop singer Lauv is back. His new record ALL 4 NOTHING is due out in August. The 27-year-old has already given us a foretaste of the album with two singles. The introspective “26” as well as the title track “All 4 Nothing (I’m So In Love)” are already everywhere. Lauv spoke to Musikexpress about how the pandemic has changed his writing process, the role drug use plays in it and who he would most like to work with.

Lauv in the Musikexpress interview

Lauv describes the new album as his most personal to date. He devotes himself to his own mental health over soft, sophisticated soundscapes and reveals a lot about himself in the process – sometimes taking on the role of observer and looking at himself from the outside. There are no features that could distract from the artist and his consciousness. As emotional as the album is, it’s almost always danceable in the old electro-pop style. So the untrained eye only recognizes at second glance what the singer is actually about.
