Laura Lahtinen has still got a place in the 100 meter butterfly World Cup final..
Finland’s team leader Jari Varjonen tells To Yle, that the path to the finals was opened when the Russian swimmers clocked the best times in eighth and ninth place Daria Klepikova and Arina Surkova withdrew for an unknown reason.
Lahtinen finished tenth in the semi-finals with a time of 56.26.
The women’s 100m butterfly final will be swum on Saturday.
