On Tuesday, January 24th, the Hollywood Film Academy will announce the Oscar nominations. Traditionally, the nominations for the “Golden Raspberry” are also announced one day in advance, this year on Monday (January 23). This prize has been awarded for the worst performance of the film year for 43 years now.
The negative prize is awardedeven “Razzie” (for English: Raspberry) called, on the eve of the Oscars, so on March 11. Which films were nominated the most in 2023, which actors are allowed to do the “honor”, which directors are named – you can read about it here.

The award website now states who is nominated. So you can find there with the same eight nominations the film “Blonde”: A biopic about Marilyn Monroe. Like on the Read the Razzie websitethe film is also for that “worst script“ and the “worst direction“ nominated, both by Andrew Dominik, “whose work says more about him here than about his subject“.
Following the bad example is Good Mourning, a laugh-free stoner comedy“.
The maybe most derided film of the year“Morbidity“ (with the as “worst actor“ nominated Jared Leto in the title role), received five nominations.
Tom Hanks looks very special
Disney’s remake of Pinocchio“ it seems in six categories managed to convince the Razzie voters. Antihero in the eyes of the Razzie Committee: Main actor Tom Hanks.
For the worst supporting actor Tom Hanks is back in the running for his “latex-covered, ridiculously accentuated portrayal of Colonel Tom Parker in the otherwise critically acclaimed ‘Elvis’“, as the Raspberry Page writes. “Latex covered“ That’s because for the role of Elvis’s seedy manager (played by Austin Butler), he had some mask cobbled onto his face to make him look a little fuller.
