Last year’s top seeded finalist Daniil Medvedev was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the ATP tournament in Halle/Westphalia.
The world number three from Russia lost to the Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut 5: 7, 6: 7 (3: 7) and has to wait for his second grass title after winning the tournament in Mallorca three years ago.
In 2022 Medvedev lost to Hubert Hurkacz in the final of the Terra Wortmann Open. The Pole is no longer in the competition either. Hurkacz was eliminated in the round of 16 by Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor.
