The fight for the climb is getting more and more exciting. At the same time, the location in the table cellar continues to come to a head.

The promotion race in the 2nd Bundesliga remains a thriller: After Magdeburg was only able to kidnap one point from Berlin on Friday, SC Paderborn missed the jump to third place with a last minute shock. Against SV Elversberg, the East Westphalia won only a 1: 1.

At the same time, Regensburg missed a home win against Braunschweig. The relegation of the promoted team is getting closer. There was no winner in Münster in the duel against Darmstadt.

SC Paderborn played a success against Elversberg in added time. The team of the outgoing coach Lukas Kwasniok had to be satisfied with a 1-1 (0: 0) against Elversberg. Fortuna Düsseldorf could be a beneficiary on Saturday evening. Raphael Obermair (56.) put Paderborn in the lead, Florian Le Joncour (90.+4) was like late. The SCP and Elversberg are still tied.

Both teams played forward, but initially shyed the very big risk. Elversberg playfully made the better impression, but Paderborn was fighting against it and had a safe support in goalkeeper Manuel Riemann. The ex-Bochumer parried in the first half against Fisnik Asllani (8th) and Muhammed Damar (24th). But the hosts also had their chances. Filip Bilbija (15th) and Tjark Scheller (41.) narrowly missed.

Elversberg was also in the game at the beginning of the second section, but Paderborn took the lead through Obermair. Le Joncour still falsified the captain’s shot. Elversberg then became even more offensive, but Robin Fellhauer also failed due to Riemann (72nd). The guests were rewarded shortly before the end.

The descent can hardly be prevented for Jahn Regensburg. In the sports duel with Eintracht Braunschweig, which was important in sports, the cut back in the table had to be satisfied with a 1: 1 (1: 1). Robin Ziegele (4th) ensured the early leadership of the hosts, Jannis Nikolaou (6th) quickly countered the recently strong Braunschweiger.

In the remaining three games against Cologne, Karlsruhe and Darmstadt, the Regensburgers, which also have a significantly worse goal difference than the competitors, need a football miracle for relegation. The direct return to League three could be sealed next weekend. Braunschweig goes into the final sprint with a cushion onto the relegation place.

Prussia Münster averted a defeat in the relegation battle, but has nevertheless slipped to a direct relegation zone. The team of coach Sascha Hildmann won a 1: 1 (0: 1) in the home game against Darmstadt 98 and is tied with SSV Ulm, but three of the game before the end of the season has the four -goal goal difference than the co -promoter on the relegation rank.

Joshua Mees (63.) achieved the equalization for Münster after the break, after Luca Marseiler (45.+1) brought the guests into the lead shortly before the half -time whistle. On Friday, co -promoter SSV Ulm had conquered the 16th place from the Münsterans by working at SpVgg Greuther Fürth (1-0). Münster will be guest in Ulm on the last matchday (May 18). The Darmstadt team of coach Florian Kohfeldt removed the last arithmetical doubts about relegation through the draw.
