A large majority of the Dutch House of Representatives wants rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, not to be allowed to enter the Netherlands. The reason was a motion submitted by the governing parties VVD and CU. The cabinet indicated last month that it was investigating how Ye could be refused. The rapper has been under fire for some time because of anti-Semitic statements. “Brain damage after a car accident,” Ye previously gave as an explanation for his behavior.
Only the parties Groep Markuszower, SP, FVD and Denk voted against the motion by VVD and CU, which instructs the government to commit itself to denying the rapper access.
