Poor Ron Boszhard: He has done his best all his life to crawl out of the shadow of his brother Carlo, but he never succeeded. His anniversary now passes silently …

It will be pretty uncomfortable for Ron Boszhard: he has worked himself a TV career long, but he never got beyond the Kindevision level. His brother Carlo Boszhard, on the other hand, is one of the larger stars of RTL 4 and has scraped millions together. How should Ron continue?

Jubilee year

Ron has been in the business for no less than thirty years this year. He has been working at AVROTROS for that way, used to be called TROS. “It is an anniversary year anyway. This year I have been with the TROS for thirty years, do Zappsport for twenty years and ten years of Bommetje, “he says in the Party.

Well, that’s an achievement. Will the Avrotros turn out to be large with that anniversary? No. “I believe that the Troskompas will do something about it, but I’m not sure.”

Poor Ron

That poor Ron. After thirty years still in the shadow of Carlo, still stuck at children’s television and then he has to do with a small piece in the Troskompas?

Otherwise he can’t just hang the garlands himself? “I will not celebrate it myself, but of course I cherish those beautiful round numbers. I never expected or dared to hope that I could work on the television for so long. You never know for sure if there is another job for you and you constantly think: tomorrow it can be over. ”

Difficult and intensive

Does Ron also see children’s television itself as the B-League? “Making children’s television is much more difficult and intensive than regular programs. If you ask adults a question, they often run completely empty, but children only answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’. You have to come from a good house to make them laugh, because they poke through everything. “

“If you want to learn to make television, you should start with children’s programs, because if you can, you can do everything.”

Aart Staartjes

Ron knows how to work nicely, but of course we all know that he would have liked to do big shows, just like his brother Carlo. “But in January 2024 I was nominated at the Zapp Awards for best presenter and Bommetje was nominated as a favorite youth program during the Gala of the Youth Prizes, and also won.”

“So I feel a bit the Aart tails of Dutch television,” he concludes.
