For the first time, early works, sketches, original pages and personal objects of the Asterix inventors Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny are shown in Germany. The Museum für Kommunikation Berlin has the exhibition from February 6th “Uderzo – from Asterix to magic potion” in the program.
Until mid -June, it is possible to look behind the scenes of the most successful European comic with never seen materials and memorabilia. The work show is curated by Sylvie Uderzo, the daughter of the Draftsman Uderzo and the Berlin comic artist Flix.
The comic artist is accordingly enthusiastic: “Accompanying such an exhibition is an once-in-a lifetime thing. Joy and honor and challenge at the same time. To be so incredibly close to Albert Uderzo’s works may be presented to me as if you are Catholic and are asked to be a Pope. ”
Asterix at Netflix
In 2025, however, the 41st volume of the famous Gauls series will be released on October 23. In the new comic, Asterix and Obelix are said to be sent to the sun. But details are still secret. For the second time, Fabcaro (Fabrice Caro) delivers the scenario, Didier Conrad takes over the drawings as usual. The success of Asterix and Obelix is unprecedented: 400 million Asterix albums have been sold in 120 languages and dialects worldwide since 1959, about a third of them in the German-speaking countries.
The Netflix animation series “Asterix-The Struggle of Chiefs”, which will be seen in spring, should also be exciting. From April 8th there will be the limited extra edition of the classic “Fight of the Chiefs”, which served as a template for the series. There are 16 additional pages.
