No Lotte Kopecky at the start of the Belgian Championship, but other top players such as Katrijn De Clercq, Lani Wittevrongel and Marith Vanhove were present. And that resulted in an exciting battle. Just before the final points race, Katrijn De Clercq was still at the top of the ranking, but that was without Lani Wittevrongel from Hertsberge. The young track cyclist ultimately came out on top and was placed on the highest podium with 146 points. De Clercq and Vanhove were allowed on the podium.
Lani Wittevrongel immediately took second prize almost a year after her silver medal at the European Track Cycling Championships.
