Southampton “owe everything”

Former English international Adam Lallana announced his end of his career. With the Liverpool FC, the 37-year-old once won the Champions League title and the English championship.
His career ends where Lallana sniffed profile air for the first time in 2006: at FC Southampton. The trip ends with a descent for the 34-time national player. In the relegation battle, he could hardly help his Saints, whom he “owed everything”. There have been only a few short missions in December.
Previously at Brighton & Hove Albion, where Lallana from FC Liverpool 2020 had changed as a 32-year-old, he had played 104 games in four seasons. At Liverpool there were 178 games from 2014, including 130 under Jürgen Klopp. In its first two seasons, Lallana scored twelve goals and 13 assists in the Premier League for the Reds. After that, from 2017/18-also in the season of the Champions League triumph 18/19 and the master year 19/20-he was repeatedly thrown back by injuries.
For Lallana in Southampton, there are no less than 60 hits and 47 assists, where he had more than 260 missions in the account by 2014. Liverpool then paid 31 million euros, at that time the second highest amount that the Saints had ever taken with a sales sale; Luke Shaw (37.5 million) transferred to Manchester United. Today Lallana’s transfer is enough for eighth place in Southampton’s transfer ranking.
