Since the opening in 2015, Lago Brugge received 3.5 million visitors and learned 15,700 children swimming. The swimming complex has an Olympic 50-meter pool and a large recreational part, partly in the open air. Center manager Hans Vanpoucke looks back proudly: “We have really put this swimming pool on the map, thanks to strong infrastructure and experience.”
During the party weekend, a new crowd puller was also unveiled: four giant letters Lago in which children can climb and slide. The party cake was solemnly cut by ships from Sport Olivier Strubbe and center manager Vanpoucke.
