Lady Louise Windsor, 19, is Queen Elizabeth’s youngest son, the Duke of Edinburgh Edward’s and of this consort, the duchess Sophie’s first-born.

At her parents’ wish, Louise is not called a princess, even though she has the right to the title. The Duke and Duchess have wanted to spare their daughter from the responsibilities and burdens of a royal title. After coming of age, Louise could have adopted the title of princess herself.

The 6th of May is celebrated as the King’s Day Charles’s coronation.

After the official coronation ceremony, key royals gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to wave to the nation.

There is limited space, so a selection must be made of those who can join. This time, only those who work directly for the court can access the balcony.

Prince William and Princess Catherine, as well as Charles’ siblings Prince Edward and Princess Anne, will be seen alongside Charles and Camilla. Prince Andrew cannot go to the balcony, because he lost his royal duties due to the sex scandal.

Prince Harry, who left the court and moved to the United States with his family, will not go up to the balcony either – if he even participates in the coronation at all.

Edward only received the title of Duke of Edinburgh, held by his father, Prince Philip, last month. Although Lady Louise is Edward’s daughter and belongs to the royal core, she does not have a place on the balcony – Louise does not work directly for the court.

Louise has a 15-year-old brother, James. He inherited the earldoms of Wessex and Forfar from his father in March. However, he won’t be able to get to the balcony either.

During the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s reign last summer, Louise and James waved on the balcony.

Edward’s children are seen in public less often than, for example, Andrew’s daughter, the princess Beatrice and the princess Eugenieta.

James was last seen on Easter Sunday with the rest of the royal family at Easter Church in Windsor. Louise did not attend church services.

Louise lives a fairly normal young life. He is studying at the University of St Andrews.

He is also a passionate sleigh rider. Last year, Louise finished sixth in the junior category in the team driving championships. This would surely have pleased her late grandfather, Prince Philip, who was also a sleigh driver.

Philip was well aware of his grandson’s interest in equestrian sports, and according to information from Hello Magazine, the prince bequeathed a carriage and also two ponies to Lady Louise.
