Lady Bitch Ray has made it public that she was falling into breast cancer last year. In an interview with the “Stern” and in an Instagram post, the artist speaks openly about the difficult time and how she mastered her.
The diagnosis made them completely unexpectedly. “It was a shock,” writes down the doctor of linguist and musician Instagram. In conversation with the “Stern”, she explained which medical steps were necessary: breast -preserving operation, chemotherapy and radiation. “I was completely out for nine months,” she says.
However, the intervention and the treatments would have been well struck. In the meantime, she is in aftercare and has to take medication, but her condition is stable, she writes. “I’m fine again.”
Family and friends helped Lady Bitch Ray
She thanks her to family and friends that they would have accompanied and supported in this phase. The diagnosis was particularly stressful emotionally, also because of her history: she had previously been struggling with depression twice. “Ey, fate, you let me run up twice,” she mocks.
New book with an important message
In autumn, her book “Amazon breasts” is to appear, which is aimed at people affected by breast cancer. The work should be empowering and informative, says Lady Bitch Ray. On Instagram she also shares a post with pictures from the time of chemotherapy as well as various headlines about her and her illness.
