VOLLEYBALL – In a packed Sports Hall Olympus in Assen, the ladies of Sudosa-Desto have won the last game of the season. In the top match against Veracles from Groningen, a 3-0 victory was booked: 30-28, 25-21 and 25-16.
The first set was one to die for. Two top teams from the Top Division were very evenly matched and turned it into a spectacle. Sudosa-Desto had to get rid of two set points and eventually won the first set 30-28.
The second set started with difficulty for the team of coach Lesley de Jonge, his team trailed 7-11. After a great service run, Sudosa-Desto scored no less than eight points in a row. With that, Veracles’ resistance was broken. The second set was eventually won 25-21 and the third set also seemed to take little effort: 25-16.
