Lacoste parent MF Brands Group hires technology experts

Swiss fashion holding MF Brands Group has appointed Gilles Lebret as EVP Technology, Data & Transformation. In this function, the 48-year-old will drive forward “the long-term transformation strategy” at the Lacoste label and the other group brands The Kooples, Gant, Tecnifibre and Aigle. According to a statement published on Monday, his tasks include “the use of new tools” to increase the company’s digitization and flexibility. The newcomer is also moving into the Lacoste Executive Committee.

Lebret has spent the past 13 years at the French flooring specialist Tarkett. There he held various management positions, most recently as VP Operations in charge of activities in the EMEA region, which includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Lebret had previously worked for well-known companies in the consulting and consumer goods sectors such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Henkel and Cadbury Schweppes.

Thierry Guibert, CEO of MF Brands Group and Lacoste brand, commented on the appointment: “I am delighted to have Gilles Lebret join the group. His solid experience in transformation and management of large-scale projects, as well as his in-depth knowledge of back offices, supply chains and the implementation of ERP systems will be of great benefit in his new responsibilities,” he said in a statement.
