The show returns after the good success of last year and keeps the winning formula unchanged. The story of The Bullfightthe legendary transmission invented by Corrado
Designed by Corrado together with his brother Riccardo Mantoni, The Bullfight was born as a radio program broadcast on the Second Program (now Rai Radio 2) from 1968 to 1977. In 1986 the format arrived on television on Canale 5, again with Corrado to host, remaining on air until 1997.
The program quickly becomes a cult, not only for the entertaining performances of the amateurs in the fray, but also for the nice presence of Roberto Pregadiothe conductor, now deceased, who accompanied all the performances. After a five-year hiatus, hosting passes to Gerry Scotti, again on Canale 5from 2002 to 2009.
To celebrate fifty years since the first radio editionin 2018 The Bullfight returns to Rai 1 with Carlo Conti at the helm, a role he will hold until 2020. Among the contestants that the program has launched and made famous are Gigi Sabani, Neri Marcorè and Emanuela Aureli.
Amadeus and a television future at Mediaset?
