AZ and Volendam had previously reached an agreement about the temporary transfer of the Volendammer. However, the Alkmaarders pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute after a ‘bad running test’ by Kwakman during the first training.
“FC Volendam is indeed interested, but it has not been finalized yet,” technical director Max Huiberts said earlier. “Dave has to show that he is ready. He is not yet, because we were not satisfied with what he showed on Friday. The transition has now been postponed.”
