KV Kortrijk head down at Racing Genk

The Limburgers already settled with the visitors from West Flanders before half-time and after 22 minutes the game was over. Top scorer and Golden Boot Paul Onuachu had opened the scoring after 17 minutes, 5 minutes later Joseph Paintsil put the final score on the scoreboard in the Cegeka Arena, on the advice of Onuachu. The second half became a measure for nothing. Genk continued to dominate against an impotent Kortrijk.

With their third win in four league games – only the previous match day was lost on the field of RSC Anderlecht – the Genkies remain in eighth place with 44 points, eight points behind number four Anderlecht. Kortrijk is in joint eleventh place with 37 points.
