Although the bridge will be preserved, it is now undergoing thorough maintenance. After this phase, work will follow on the towpaths along the Leie.
For example, the towpath on the left bank, on the Kuurne side, will be closed from June 1 to July 3. On the right bank, on the Harelbeke side, a closure applies from June 15 to July 10. Work is underway there on the abutment of the bridge.
