The police suspect that the perpetrators of the art robbery come from the Drents Museum from Noord-Holland. There are several instructions for this, the police announced in the TV program Opsporing Verzocht.
It concerns at least three perpetrators. The police think there was a dark Ford transit involved in the robbery.
Yesterday a front hammer was taken out of the water at the Drents Museum. A second was found later. Tonight a photo of another, smaller slash was shared.
“The police want to know more about Hamers, a Moker and a Culp Foot that were used in the burglary in the museum,” says a statement. The police suspect that the perpetrators have dumped objects used in the burglary. “For example, think of clothing or other goods.”
The police are still with questions about the Volkswagen Golf that was used in the art. It was stolen on Thursday night around 3:20 am in Alkmaar. But from that moment on to the art robbery in Assen, the police do not know where the car has been. He could have been seen in the Assen, Northern Drenthe or Groningen area.
In the night from Friday to Saturday, thieves invaded the Drents Museum, they used an explosive to force an entrance. Within minutes they were outside again with the loot: three gold bracelets and a golden helmet. All archaeological finds from Romania, lent to the Museum for the Dacia – Rijk of Gold and Silver exhibition.
