Kroos comeback at the DFB: decision is approaching

The question of Toni Kroos returning to the national team concerns many fans. There should be certainty in the next nomination.

According to a media report, former world champion Toni Kroos will make a decision in the coming weeks about his possible return to the national soccer team for the home European Championships. The 34-year-old Real Madrid midfielder will announce his decision at least internally before the international matches on March 23rd in France and three days later against the Netherlands, the portal “The Athletic” wrote on Tuesday without naming specific sources.

If Kroos is ready to make a comeback after 106 international matches, national coach Julian Nagelsmann could call him up for the first two international matches of the European Championship year when the squad is nominated on March 14th. The home tournament will take place from June 14th to July 14th.

“I’m thinking about it, there’s a possibility,” Kroos recently said about a possible return to the DFB team before Real’s Champions League visit to RB Leipzig. But he also emphasized: “I have always said that I want to end my career at my highest level.”
