The successful duo Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies was eliminated in the Wimbledon quarter-finals as the last German double.
The two-time French Open winners from Coburg and Cologne lost 4: 6, 3: 6, 3: 6 to number two seeded Croatian doubles Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic in 99 minutes. Krawietz (30) and Mies (31) had not previously made it past the third round at Wimbledon. In the doubles and mixed competitions, all German tennis professionals have already been eliminated.
