– Kozeen Shiwan will move on to a new phase – the restaurant will be interrupted for the time being, the work will continue in new forms, the release states.
Earlier today, Iltalehti reported that the restaurant suddenly closed in unclear conditions. On Wednesday, the customer who made a table reserve received a message from the restaurant telling us about the cancellation of the reservation.
Kozeen Shiwan got his restaurant Michelin star in record time in May last year, when the restaurant had only been open for half a year.
The bulletin published by the restaurant states that Shiwan will interrupt its restaurant’s operations for the time being and move towards new projects.
– Running the restaurant was the most intense episode of my life and a great honor. Now is the time to stop for a moment and to target energy to new projects that support both my creativity and well -being. This is the opportunity to continue my work at my own pace and look for new ways to combine food, story and art, Shiwan says in the release.
According to the release, Shiwan’s creative work will continue in “forms of new projects and collaborative patterns” and that he intends to focus on “especially creative, flexible entities”.
The bulletin does not specify what kind of projects and patterns are all about.
At the end of the release, Shiwan hopes for peace and understanding of the situation and does not currently receive interview requests.
