The municipality of Oss is going to move a newly constructed korfball field. The new korfball field now lies across the football field that was already there, to the anger of local residents. “The plan has now been adjusted. The new shortball field is now being built next to the football field. That football field will remain in its current location. Both fields will be made of artificial grass,” the municipality said.
The korfball field was created after two children sent a letter to the municipality. “We set to work with that. In retrospect, you can see that we did this a little too energetically. A few local residents were not very happy with this,” says the municipal spokesperson. So the plans are now being adjusted.
The municipality cannot yet say how much the current field has cost and how much it will cost to move the field again. It was also not immediately possible to explain why it was decided to lay the field across the football field at the Spieakker.

The korfball pole is now just next to the football field, but that creates dangerous situations. “If you take the ball and run towards the goal, you will hit such a pole,” said a local resident.
A residents’ meeting was inserted, which attracted thirty people on Monday evening. In a few weeks, the local residents will be updated about the new plans, according to a spokesman for the municipality. Then the design of the park will be further examined.
