The US clothing group Kontoor Brands Inc. has found a significant addition to its board of directors. Andrew Page, the chief financial officer (CFO) of retailer Foot Locker Inc., has been appointed to the panel effective immediately, the parent company of denim labels Wrangler and Lee announced on Thursday. The financial expert will therefore act as a director in the future and will also be a member of the audit committee of the board of directors.
“We are pleased to welcome Andrew to Kontoor’s board of directors,” said Scott Baxter, the group’s president, CEO and chairman. “Andrew is a seasoned finance executive with an extensive background in optimizing business growth.” An asset to Kontoor” and “enormously valuable” to the board of directors, according to Baxter.
Page has served as Executive Vice President and CFO at Foot Locker since April of last year. Previously, he held various senior positions in the finance departments of well-known companies such as Advance Auto Parts, Under Armor and General Electric.
