According to Mica, King’s Day also does not seem to be in danger on Kerkplein. “We have already reserved the music, stages, bars and drinks. We are positive about it and are looking forward to it.” Although the costs have risen, this does not have to be a problem.
King’s Night and King’s Day are also celebrated in other places in Hoorn.
Bomb
The news that King Night on the Roode Stone this year will not take placehas been smashed in the city like a bomb. Council members respond shocked and residents express their displeasure on social media.
Where some people consider it a loss, others seem to be less heavily lifted. “There is so little for the youth,” writes a woman on Facebook. Another reacts lighter: “Just a nice night out in the pub with friends.”
