Possibly his last classic
Can Neuer play against Dortmund? Kompany gives an update

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer could miss the important game against Borussia Dortmund as he is still not fully fit after tearing a fiber. Will he miss what could be his last classic?
FC Bayern Munich will probably play the German Clásico without captain Manuel Neuer. Neuer, who suffered a torn muscle in the middle of the month, was most recently represented by Jonas Urbig.
“It’s actually looking good for Manu, we thought he might be out for a longer period of time,” said coach Vincent Kompany at the press conference on Friday. Neuer could probably also take part in the final training, Kompany continued. “But I would still like to discuss it with Manu again.” However, it may not be enough to use Neuer.
If the risk is too high, Jonas Urbig would be available as a replacement. Neuer suffered a torn fiber in his left calf in the game against Werder Bremen on February 14th (3-0) and was substituted at half-time. Because of the injury, he also missed the duel with Eintracht Frankfurt (3:2).
For Neuer, whose contract expires at the end of the season, this could be the last opportunity to face rivals Dortmund in the classic. A victory for FC Bayern would almost decide the championship with a lead of eleven points. Kompany emphasized the importance of the game, saying: “It’s a classic. So for me it’s always its own title.”
Dortmund suffered a painful 4-1 defeat to Atalanta Bergamo in the Champions League on Wednesday and Kompany was cautious about their reaction. “Mentally it’s always something, but what comes out of it can go either way,” he said. FC Bayern had a good week and are ready for the important duel. “We felt that it was a classic week. It was this healthy poison in training that I love,” said Kompany.
