FC Bayern Munich is the most successful football club in Germany. In our news ticker you will find all the important news about the record champions.
Bayern Munich can probably rely on Josip Stanisic again in the home game against VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday (3:30 p.m. in the t-online live ticker). “I assume that we have him back in the squad, that is very positive for us. But he is one of the boys who had no preparation, he needs patience,” said coach Vincent Kompany on Friday.
Stanisic was loaned out to double winners Bayer Leverkusen last season and since his return has only played in the first round of the cup at second division club SSV Ulm (4-0). Since then, the 24-year-old right-back has been out due to a torn lateral ligament in his right knee and, most recently, a strain.
Kompany can also plan with midfielder João Palhinha again soon. The Portuguese international was partially integrated again on Friday afternoon in the German record champions’ final training session for the Wolfsburg game.
He tore his adductor muscle (right) while playing for the national team last November and has been out since then. Bayern’s duel with Wolves will be the eleventh competitive game that the summer purchase will miss due to this injury.
Will the Munich team soon get another BVB professional? According to information from “Bild”, the record champions have contacted Jamie Gittens’ advisors. The 20-year-old winger, who moved from Manchester City to BVB’s youth team in 2019, has attracted attention with strong performances this season and is Dortmund’s best and most valuable player. Sports director Max Eberl is keeping a low profile, but FC Bayern is reportedly working on an immediate commitment to the talented goalkeeper Jonas Urbig (21) from second division leaders 1. FC Köln. Several media outlets report this unanimously; Sky first reported this on Wednesday evening. The clubs are still in concrete negotiations about a transfer during the winter break, and U21 national goalkeeper Urbig could become by far the most expensive second division keeper.
However, Eberl indirectly declared a change in the winter to be unlikely. “If there’s something to announce, then we’ll announce it,” he said after Munich’s 5-0 win in the Bundesliga against TSG Hoffenheim and emphasized several times: “Our squad is very well positioned in terms of quality and quantity,” he doesn’t think that “something will happen” by the end of the transfer deadline.

The future of Hoffenheim’s top talent Tom Bischof apparently lies in Munich. According to Sky information, the 19-year-old midfielder will move to FC Bayern in the summer. He should therefore complete a medical check with the German record champions next week.
“As long as we don’t have anything signed, I can’t confirm anything,” said Bayern sports director Max Eberl. Bischof, who has been playing for Hoffenheim since he was ten,’s contract expires at the end of the season. The Munich team could therefore sign him on a free transfer.
Offensive star Jamal Musiala is back at FC Bayern Munich. The 21-year-old was recently out due to a flu-like infection and was able to complete part of the team training again two days before the Bundesliga home game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Wednesday (8.30 p.m./Sky and Sat.1).
The national player was not yet able to take part in the 1-0 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Thomas Müller replaced him in the starting line-up. Musiala also had to miss the test in Salzburg (6-0).
Musiala, like Harry Kane, belongs in the category that he cannot be replaced “one-to-one,” coach Vincent Kompany emphasized recently. FC Bayern is at the start of an intense week with six games in 18 days, including the final two games in the league phase of the Champions League.
