Koksijde connects bicycle streets into one large network

Mayor Marc Vanden Bussche started a bicycle route of new bicycle streets in Koksijde this morning. The route runs from Nieuwpoort to De Panne and is intended to make it safer for cyclists. In such a bicycle street you can drive a maximum of 30 km/h and you cannot overtake cyclists by car or motorcycle.

Koksijde hopes that they will be able to expand the network of bicycle streets even more in the future. They also want more second home residents to cycle for their trips on the coast.
