The 25-year-old Blommestijn’s contract was signed last week disbanded at FC Volendam and thus the striker was free to choose a new club. Blommestijn, the leader of the first division, did not play a single minute this season.
New impetus
Blommestijn has played at FC Volendam since 2020 and has made a trip to Telstar and Quick Boys in the meantime. He was most successful in the 2021-2022 season. As a player for Jong Volendam, he scored twenty goals in the second division. A breakthrough in the first team of FC Volendam failed to materialize, partly due to injuries. Blommestijn has three substitute appearances to his name in which he scored once.
The season for Blommestijn, Guezen and Bouman with Westchester SC starts on March 8 with an away match against Greenville Triumph SC.
