AZ will play for the Johan Cruijff Shield a week before the start of the Premier League. PSV will be the opponent in Eindhoven on Sunday, August 2. A week later, the competition for AZ starts with a home match against ADO Den Haag on Saturday, August 8.
In matchday 7, AZ crosses swords with another North Holland club for the first time. Telstar will come to Alkmaar on Sunday, September 20. On Saturday, October 11, coach Leeroy Echteld’s team will travel to Amsterdam for the meeting with Ajax.
Telstar opens against NEC
Telstar kicks off with an away match against NEC, which finished third last season. A week later the first match is at Sportpark Schoonenberg. Sparta Rotterdam is the opponent on Friday evening, August 14.
In round 4, Telstar plays at home again. Then Ajax is the opponent.
