The KNVB will contact PSV on Tuesday to inquire about the situation at the club. The number 2 of the Eredivisie announced on Monday that a player from the first team is infected with tuberculosis. Sources already confirmed that it is about 36-year-old Spaniard Lucas Pérez, who has only been employed by PSV for a month.
“We can’t say much at the moment. We will first contact PSV,” said a spokesperson for the union. It is unclear whether there are consequences for the topper next Sunday against leader Ajax.
PSV immediately indicated that, among other things, source and contact research has been started and that those involved have been informed.

There were no indications that people in the vicinity of the infected player were infected. The club did not announce the name of the player for privacy reasons, but reported that he is doing well under circumstances.
PSV brought Pérez to Eindhoven at the end of February as a replacement for the injured American Ricardo Pepi.
