The KNVB has appointed Dennis Higler as referee for the game for the Johan Cruijff Scale on Saturday. The match in Amsterdam will be between national champion Ajax and cup winner PSV.
It is the second time for Higler that he is allowed to whistle the match for the Johan Cruijff Scale. In 2019 he was also in charge and then the match between Ajax and PSV was still going on. The team from Amsterdam won that edition 2-0.
The match for the Dutch supercup is already for the third time in a row between Ajax and PSV. Last year the people of Eindhoven were with no less than 0-4 too strong in Amsterdam. The match between Ajax and PSV will be played on Saturday in the Johan Cruijff Arena. The kick-off is at 20:00.
