The KNMI has just announced this. Code yellow will apply to Texel from 4 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. Because the risk of ‘large-scale slippery conditions due to icy conditions’ later in the afternoon, especially in the evening and at night, increases significantly, the KNMI has increased the warning level.
“As a result, there is a risk of accidents in many places due to slippery roads, cycle paths, footpaths and bridges,” the weather institute reports on its website.
Code orange will therefore apply on the island from 10 p.m. tomorrow evening. This warning applies until 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning. After that, code yellow applies, for the time being until 12 noon.
In the rest of the province, code yellow will remain in force tomorrow afternoon between 12 noon and 5 p.m.
