The assignment for Knack Roeselare was simple in advance. Two sets win against Innsbruck and then it was allowed to go to the quarterfinals of the CEV Cup, where it played the final two years ago. The opponent from Innsbruck was defeated in the first match in Austria after a true thriller, Knack eventually won 2-3.

In the end, Knack pulled the set to himself, 27-25 and the qualification for the quarterfinals of the CEV Cup was inside.

In the unnecessary third set, Roeselare still completely outlined his opponent and made it a smooth 3-0 home victory via 25-15.
