The Swedish premium outdoor brand Klättermusen, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and has just opened its first German store in Munich, will also start in Berlin in June. The store will open on June 5 at Alte Schönhauser Straße 32a, according to the company.
Klättermusen has been working on the expansion of retail presence in Europe and Asia for several years. Only in November the company opened a shop in Paris. More should follow.
All stores have a special retail concept in common. “With our brand stores we want to question the conventional retail experience,” explains Gonz Ferrero, who took over the CEO post ten years ago. Ferrero not only wants to use the stores as sales rooms, but also as a meeting point for the local outdoor and creative community, where events take place and different people and perspectives come together. An example of this is a large table with six stools in the middle of the shop in the Munich store.
